Terms of Service & Software Terms
Governing the software tools for statutory accommodation fee tracking and reconciliation (Greek Law 4389/2016 Art. 53 & Law 5162/2024).
Effective: September 15, 2026 • Terms version: 2026-09-v2
§11. Software Provider Status & Scope
taakflow provides a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) application designed for short-term rental property hosts and managers to calculate, track, collect, and reconcile the Greek Climate Crisis Resilience Fee (TAKK), as enacted under Article 53 of Law 4389/2016 and amended by Law 5162/2024.
taakflow is an organizational and administrative software aid. taakflow is NOT a hospitality provider, property management agency, travel agency, tax advisory firm, accredited ERP, or public tax authority. The accommodation contract exists solely between the host and the registered guest.
§22. Payment Processing & 0% taakflow Commission
taakflow is not a bank, payment service provider (PSP), money transmitter, or escrow agent. All guest card transactions are processed directly by Stripe Technology Europe Ltd into the Host’s connected Stripe account (Stripe Connect Direct Charges). taakflow never holds, possesses, or routes guest accommodation fees through its own bank accounts.
taakflow charges 0% application commission on guest statutory fee collections. Stripe/payment-processing fees may still apply under the configured Stripe Connect pricing and responsibility model and are separate from taakflow revenue.
§33. Host Tax Compliance Responsibility
In accordance with Greek tax legislation (Law 4389/2016, Law 5162/2024, and AADE Decision A.1217/2023):
- The Host / accommodation operator bears sole statutory responsibility for issuing the official Special Document - Collection Receipt (Ειδικό Στοιχείο - Απόδειξη Είσπραξης) to guests upon departure.
- The Host is solely responsible for submitting monthly TAAK declarations via myAADE by the last day of the following month (την τελευταία ημέρα του επόμενου μήνα) and remitting statutory duties to the Hellenic tax authorities.
- taakflow provides calculation assistance and data export tools, but does not file tax returns on behalf of users.
§44. Free Beta Commercial Terms
While the application operates in Free Beta mode (COMMERCIAL_MODE=FREE_BETA), access to taakflow core host features is provided free of charge without recurring SaaS subscription fees.
The Free Beta is temporary. taakflow may end or change the Free Beta and may offer paid subscription plans in the future. Any transition from Free Beta to paid SaaS access will be announced at least 30 days in advance by email, in-app notice, or another durable written notice.
Free Beta users will not be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription and will not be charged merely because the Beta ends. A paid subscription begins only after the account holder separately and explicitly selects a paid plan and authorizes the applicable payment method and price.
If the account holder does not opt in to a paid plan, no SaaS subscription charge will be created. After the announced transition date, some functionality may be limited or become read-only; users will be given a reasonable opportunity to export their account data and may close their account subject to the applicable retention policy.
Any complimentary or founding-user entitlement applies only if it was separately granted to the account and remains governed by the specific entitlement displayed in the account or confirmed in writing by taakflow.
§55. Data Processing Agreement (DPA) Incorporation
The Data Processing Agreement (DPA) pursuant to GDPR Article 28, available at /dpa, forms an integral and binding part of these Terms of Service. By registering and utilizing taakflow, the Host agrees to the terms of the DPA.
Our verified subprocessor list is publicly accessible at /subprocessors.
§66. Limitation of Liability
Under applicable Greek Civil Code provisions (Art. 332) and EU consumer law, taakflow’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service shall be limited to the total fees paid by the user to taakflow in the preceding twelve (12) months, or one hundred euros (€100) during the Free Beta period.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or damages resulting from death or personal injury.
§77. Cancellations & Fee Refunds
Because guest fees are collected directly into the host’s payment account, the host is responsible for executing refunds in case of cancelled stays or early departures. For detailed statutory refund guidelines, consult our:
